A fonte de luz do arco de xen\u00f4nio deve ser filtrada para reduzir a radia\u00e7\u00e3o indesejada. H\u00e1 uma variedade de tipos de vidro de filtro para escolher para diferentes distribui\u00e7\u00f5es de irradi\u00e2ncia. O tipo de vidro utilizado depende do tipo de material que est\u00e1 sendo testado e de seu uso final.
